RemodelFinder (remodelfinder.com) is a free online tool that provides ZIP-code-level home remodeling cost estimates and ROI scores for homeowners across the United States. References to "we," "us," or "our" mean RemodelFinder.

2. What We Collect and How

Information you provide

When you submit a message through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the message content. No account registration is required to use the Site. We do not collect payment card information or sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, standard server and network infrastructure may record your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. We use this information to operate and improve the Site.

Inferred location from IP address

On certain pages, the Site uses Cloudflare's network infrastructure to infer an approximate postal code from your IP address. This is used solely to detect whether you are visiting a cost page for a ZIP code different from your own, and to optionally show you a market comparison banner. RemodelFinder does not store this inferred postal code. It is processed in memory during your request and discarded. Cloudflare's handling of network request data is governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy .

Cookies and analytics

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to understand how visitors use the Site. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to alert you when a cookie is being sent. Some features of the Site may not function properly without cookies.

The Site does not require you to create an account. We do not collect or store the ZIP codes you look up, the project types you select, or any estimates you view. Your use of the cost calculator is not linked to any persistent user profile.

7. Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry. Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and operational purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
